Kia ora, my name is Alexandra Alzate-Thompson. I’m originally from Colombia, and since 2004, I’ve called New Zealand home. For the last eight years, I’ve been an ESOL assistant teacher at a primary school in Christchurch. It’s a joy to be part of the Cornerstone Christian teaching team and to share my faith with the tamariki, guiding them to live under God’s grace.
A little bit about me:
I’m married to Nick, and we have two teenage kids, Clara and Felix. As a family, we enjoy spending time together exploring nature and the outdoors. We like camping, tramping, mountain biking, and running. Walking our Blue Heeler dog, Rosa, is our daily activity. I also enjoy honouring God through music and singing.
I strongly value New Zealand’s cultural diversity and believe in an educational environment where children are respected and appreciated for their unique identities and experiences.
